Lying beside you
Here in the dark
Feeling your heart beat with mine

Jane walked into the hospital room and took a long look at her
silent son. His skin was cold and white. The happy glow of life
he usually held had diminished. In its place was the solitaire
whiteness of his current condition. She closed her eyes for a
moment and when she opened them again they rested on the young
girl. Jane slowly walked up to her side and looked down at her.
Even in the girls' sleep induced state, Jane could tell that she
was kind, lovely and precious girl. She took her hand and spoke
quietly.
"If you can somehow reach my son, please tell him that I
love him and that I want him to wake up soon."

Softly you whisper
You're so sincere
How could our love be so blind

"Nick you brought me all the way out here to tell me
something and now you're not even going to tell me?" Georgia
playfully whined. Nick had kidnapped her from her home nearly an
hour ago to take her for a walk through the park, but now all he
did was walk with her, tell jokes, softly tease her, and make her
ask him half a dozen questions as to what his motives of the day
were.
"Why are you so anxious to hear what I have to tell
you?" he asked. Deep down inside he couldn't resist smiling
at her. Her charm was contagious and he loved her for it. She
made him feel like the best man in the world and he, in return,
wanted to make her feel like the best woman in the world.
"You dragged me out of my house in the middle of a very
important soap opera to take a walk with me through the park.
You're usually not this spontaneous. What is on that mind of
yours today Nick?"
He stopped and stared lovingly at Georgia. His heart nearly burst
with warm content and happiness. He took her gentle hands and
placed them in his own.
"I just wanted to tell you that you are the most wonderful
person I have ever come to know. I'm in heaven when I'm with you
and when I'm not with you I'm thinking about the next time I'll
be with you. You warm my heart with thoughts of how much I care
for you, how much I want to hold you in my arms."
Georgia smiled up at him. "I know how you feel, Nick."
"I love you Georgia."
"I love you too Nick. But your mom needs you now, more than
I do. Come home Nick. Come back home."

"And how are our patients doing today?" asked Doctor
Green as he entered in the room. He nodded at Jane, who had been
resting in an easy chair. He flipped through some papers on his
clipboard and took a long look at Nick.
"I'll be damned" he whispered. Jane looked up at him.
"What?" she asked, growing excited.
"Do you see that?" he asked. "He's moving!"
